Book Review

The title of the book is Clever Katya. The story is retold by Julia Donaldson. The illustrator is Jane Kochnewitz. The publisher is Ginn and Company. The summary of the story is written down here.

There was a person named Czar. He thought he was the cleverest person in Russia until he met a farmer. The farmer said that his daughter is the cleverest person in Russia. The czar wanted to test Katya. The Czar gave Katya three difficult tasks. Katya managed to complete the task easily. Then the Czar was interested in her and married her. Katya made the Czar promise if he ever gets fed up with her and asks her to leave the palac , she wil get to bring anything she loves most in her life back home. Then, one day, the Czar was angry at Katya. Then Katya put the Czar to sleep put him into a chest and brought him to her house. When the Czar woke up, he was still angry and scolded Katya. Katya reminded him the promise he had made. Katya said that she loves him most in her life. The Czar finally calmed down. The Czar agreed that Katya is the cleverest person in Russia. They then lived happily ever after.

The part I like the most is when the ending of the story when the Czar agreed with the farmer that Katya was indeed the cleverest person in Russia and they lived happily ever after.

I learned that clever people will always find a solution for a problem.

I rate this book 5 Stars.
